Rules

All rules are part of a three-strike policy. While the moderators leave some room to discuss and correct issues presented in rules without giving strikes, please be advised that repeated breaking and bending of the rules will result in your expulsion from the game.

Respect the moderators. We are here to have fun along with you, and to make your gaming experience fun and structured. Feel free to contact us to discuss gaming matters – we’re quite friendly and willing to work with everyone on everything from plot ideas to player issues alike. Our only request is that our final decisions on game-related matters are respected.

oo2

Respect your fellow players. We are all here as a hobby and we all deserve to be treated well and to feel safe while having fun. This means conducting yourself in a way that helps everyone have a safe and fun experience. There is zero tolerance for harassment, bullying, or stalking.

IC =/= OOC. That is, In Character is not Out Of Character. Just because someone’s character doesn’t like your character doesn’t mean that the player feels the same way. This line is extremely important. Learn the line. Respect the line. Love the line.

ICA = ICC. That is, In Character Action = In Character Consequence. Please think about the actions you have your characters perform before you do them, and try not to get into a situation which you will be unable or unwilling to play out.

oo5

Communication is key. If you aren't sure what's going on or don't understand something about the premise or event, ask. If you have any problems with the conduct of another player, talk to them. If you want to plot or have questions about the game, don't hesitate! If something is going on OOC and you can't post for a while, try to let us know.

Powergaming, godmoding, and infomodding are not allowed. Please remember that your character cannot know everything you do, cannot read [action] tags, and that character strengths and weaknesses are relative. Characters should acquire skills at a rate that pays consideration to real-world limitations, and all increases in power through canon updates must be approved by mods first.

This game can be fairly mature and may deal with adult situations that may contain triggering content. Therefore, you MUST put content warnings in any posts or comments which contain sensitive or objectionable content.

oo8

Do not use slurs OOCly. In-character tirades are most certainly welcome, though harsher usage generally warrants a content warning. However, OOC use will result in you getting a warning. If you use them a second time, you will receive another warning, and if you use them after that, you will be banned from the game. Any slurs: racist, sexist, cissexist, homophobic, ableist, etc - are covered under this rule.

If you are playing a character in a way drastically different than in the application accepted, with no in-game backing (such as a curse, event, long-term development, or other extenuating circumstance), a moderator will approach you to discuss and handle this discrepancy.
