The fae have a number of tricks that they enjoy drawing upon to mess with, trouble, and bring "joy" to those present in the village. Not all fae can inflict these, but those who can include the sidhe and the muryan.
Most curses will be neutral or chaotic at best. It is rare to receive a purely or mostly "positive" curse (other than how your character may feel about it, of course), but certainly possible—these are usually gifts from the main or special NPCs.
These are suggestions and prompts for ideas, and are by no means the limits of fae creativity. If you have a twist on it, feel free to use it or run it by the mods if unsure!
SHAPESHIFTING CURSE. Animal transformation, species swap, transformation into a sentient tree, sex swap, any variety of body horror, cosmetic alterations (ie: abnormal skin or hair colors, "vanishing" someone's hair altogether), aging or de-aging, transformation of a body part into something it shouldn't be.
PHYSICAL ABILITY CURSE. Removal or warping of one or more senses, loss of ability to perform specific or general types activities (ie: a carpenter suddenly can't hold a hammer), removal of a non-vital limb.
MIND CURSE. Removal or warping of abilities, alteration of memories or sense of self, hallucinations, awkward new abilities that do not make life easier, replacing, removing, or swapping powers/thoughts/emotions, intense cravings for specific food/items/objects/intimacy, believing self to be flora or fauna without any physical transformation.
DEATH CURSE. Remarkably Creative Deaths, sudden ability to see/hear the (unpleasant) dead, inability to die no matter what happens, visions that force the character to live through the deaths of others.
OTHER CURSE. Removal of gravity or other natural force for that specific person, trapping in a false maze, being forced to tell only truths or lies, can only communicate in song, translation magic failure, etc.
